Living with Error in the Geo-spatial World (411). Errors and uncertainty exist in all geo-spatial data. This workshop guides participants through the sometimes complex world of error analysis by first establishing a strong understanding of error and uncertainty. Participants will complete discovery exercises to see first hand the effect and influence of error. Furthermore, participants will learn about error propagation..the effect combined errors have on the results of spatial analysis. This is an eight hour workshop.

Prerequisites: familiarity with geographic information systems and ArcGIS
