The Regional Geographic Initiative (RGI) sought to determine the condition of ground water in the Lower Portneuf River Valley Aquifer in southeast Idaho, the primary source of local drinking water. The resulting data helped local governments make decisions, based on sound science and data, to help ensure we have clean, drinkable water in the future.
