Advanced GIS (GEOL 404/504) - 3 credits: Study of geodatabase, spatial analysis and modeling, raster processing, map algebra application, spatial modeling with model builder, digital terrain modeling, 3-D modeling, ArcINFO command line, and advanced GIS data structures. Practical application of ESRI ™ ArcGIS (ArcMap, ArcCatalog, ArcToolBox, Arc/Info), Python scripting and Clark University's Idrisi Kilimanjaro software. Exercises include editing, querying, and spatial analysis techniques with Arc/Info, digital terrain modeling, spatial analysis, image processing with Idrisi, model builder application, arc macro language (AML) coding and application, and map algebra application.
