Image of Guillermo Bueno Guillermo Bueno was a Visiting International Scholar from Spain where he pursuing a PhD. Guillermo focussed upon land cover change detection during his stay at the GIS Center using Landsat imagery and classification tree analysis. He has gone on to improve the models he began at the GIS Center to better understand wild boar disturbance in the Pyrenees Mountains of Spain.
Image of Syed Ahmed Syed Ahmed studied Juniper encroachment and detection techniques for one year while at ISU's GIS Center. Syed is from Pakistan and has since moved on to pursue a graduate degree program elsewhere.
Image of Mansoor Raza Mansoor Raza is pursuing his MS in GIScience while at ISU's GIS Center. Mansoor is from Pakistan and is studying the use of Object Oriented Analysis in remote sensing applications.
Image of Teki Sankey Teki Sankey is a Post-Doctoral Research Associate with the GIS Center who was born and raised in Mongolia. She has been involved in numerous studies including Juniper and Aspen change detection in Southeastern Idaho as well as International comparisons between rangelands in Idaho and environmentally similar sites in Mongolia.
Image of Jerome Theau Jerome Theau worked as a Post-Doctoral research associate with the GIS Center and has since returned to France.
Image of Francisco Gomes Franciso Gomez came to ISU's GIS Center from Spain and brought with him expertise in land cover change in urban environments. During his stay he was involved in wildland urban interface fire susceptibility modeling and land cover change assessments in rangeland ecosystems.
Image of Murat Ercanoglu Murat Ercanoglu came to ISU's GIS Center from Turkey. Murat was involved in a number of projects during his stay including temporal land cover changes due to landslides and debris flows as well as wildland urban interface fire susceptibility modeling with Fuzzy logic systems.
Image of Bhushan Gokhale Bhushan Gokhale is an international student who has been working with the GIS Center for several years. Bhushan has served as both a teaching assistant and GIS/Remote Sensing Technician. Bhushan was instrumental in the development of the GIS Center's rangeland health model.
:Image Kit Na Goh is an international student from Malaysia. She entered the MS in GIScience program in 2006 and is working on the Selenium Information System Project (SISP) as well as web interface tools for our spatial library.
Image of Sudhanshu Panda Sudhanshu Panda is the GIS Center's Lecturer and GLOBE program coordinator. He is originally from India and has expertise in neural network modeling.
Image of Cecilia Johnsson and Oskar Petterson Other visiting scholars include Cecilia Johnsson, Oskar Petterson, Daniel Mattson, and Fredrik Thoren. Each of these international students spent a semester or more with the GIS Center and were involved in its Wildland Urban Interface Suspectibility Modeling projects in the past. These student hailed from Lulea University in Sweden.
Thomas Windholz was originally from Austria and was the GIS Center's Associate Director for several years. He has gone on to pursue a career focused upon programming.
