The visiting scholars program at ISU's GIS Center grew out of numerous successful exchanges with students and scientists from abroad. Today it is a vital program within the GIS Center and as such, we are committed to continuing and expanding this program. In 2006 we have funding available to support one visiting scholar. The visiting scholar should have interest and experience in rangeland ecosystems (e.g., grasslands, pampas, or savanna) and geographic information systems (GIS).
