Information Technology for GIS- 3 credits. Study of servers, networks, system administration, object-relational database design and management, the ESRI spatial database engine, and serving maps on the internet using Internet Map Server. The course uses traditional lecture along with demonstrations and hands-on exercises.

Prerequisites: Principles of GIS (g403 or g503) or instructor approval.
